My Type of Queen

Your face forces pilots to stare

From every nation with prayer.

How your body accepts gravity

Without beloved wings to see.

You humbled like my world’s better

Isn’t why I write this love letter.

All heroes envy your caliber,

For a day without you is a blur,

Where I think about the go-getters,

Getting women unlike the quitters.

You’re over my world; am I buried?

Cremate my worries; I’m unmarried.

Yet, I’m married to the thought of you.

I’m in the shadows like deja vu

With a royal blue heart that’s afar.

Oh, watch me carry a falling star.

I mustn’t wish for what’s so unknown.

You’re a queen that no one can dethrone.
