Only In Doubt Town: Sun Chi Moves To Happening Street

The new superhero, Sun Chi in this digital comic book project was inspired by my friend, Patricia K. Also, the song lyrics in this project are by her. She’s awesome. There is a link to the original animated eBook graphic novel version, that I self-published. It is called “Only In Doubt Town”: https://www.lulu.com/en/us/shop/isaiah-lawrence/only-in-doubt-town/ebook/product-1dgndwrz.html?page=1&pageSize=4.

Here is a link to the audiobook version of the Doubt Town world I did before, called “Doubt Town: Happening Street” Audiobook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J81Ypt4vOaA.

I sketched out a superhero idea, then Patricia did the difficult part, digitizing. Also, she thought of the name of the character. She’s awesome. Her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lucidsea79/

The Overnight Paragon

They called.

They wished.

They saw.

He came.

They said he was a hero.

They said he was a villain.

They said he was a hero.

They said he was a villain.

Once hit by a shooting star

At the age of seventeen.

He developed a bright scar,

Which showed outside of his spleen.

With the strength of 10 humans,

His weakness is known as death.

The heart of 50 lifespans

Cant’ make him have his last breath.

Who can control shooting stars

By direction with their mind?

You may see him over cars,

Beating the bad guys you find.

He says he’s not a star seed.

When he strikes, there’s sound effects

Seen like comic books they read

With the star power to flex.

Move one way, the star can turn.

Take a flight; that’s your mistake.

You’ll see stars, so watch and learn

When you fall like an earthquake.

He can survive without air

And swing from stars with his hands.

Try to stop him if you dare.

If you watch, then he commands.

They called.

They wished.

They saw.

He came.

They said he was a hero.

They said he was a villain.

They said he was a hero.

They said he was a villain.

May he strike before you see?

When a mask looms from the dark,

May he have what you envy,

Shooting holes in a birthmark?

The city is getting scared.

His arch enemies are free

And nobody is prepared.

They killed their family tree.

His enemy makes landmines,

With just a ticking stopwatch

He don’t care about bloodlines

Until it’s, “Wham” to his crotch.

“Boom” to the cities destroyed

And there’s more villains coming.

So, it’s on the next tabloid.

What’s that robotic humming?

He fought 10 villains away,

Then he had to fight the cops

Like his race don’t hit the hay,

Ending them swift like raindrops.

He’s wanted for raising hell

On the bad guys that cause pain,

His shooting star is no spell.

For what you may want and gain.

They called.

They wished.

They saw.

He came.

They said he was a hero.

They said he was a villain.

They said he was a hero.

They said he was a villain.

Only In Doubt Town Comic Strip

One of the things I’m thankful for is having an artist friend. Patricia digitized a comic strip that I penciled out. You can check out her artsy projects on her Instagram:

Razor Ravana

I thought of an idea for a superhero and Patricia designed it. The collaboration was a fun experiment. At first, I wanted a superhero that can seduce anyone and use a razor hidden in the middle of the face. She added the razor heels, studs, and everything else, bringing the idea to life.
