A Man Is For You

©. Jan. 25, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

The definition of a man

Is an adult male human being,

But that’s the first.

They call a male a human being

Of either sex, which is a person,

Good on their worst.

A man has vague heartbeats

Unrehearsed, resting in their

Significant other’s arms.

A man is born again,

But should never overthink,

When hearing false alarms.

He is a perfectionist,

Knowing what he wants,

Allowing women to conquer him.

Before a man dies,

He suppresses his crier,

Like his mother gave birth in the gym.

He heard about effective tools

And firearms

And is considered the breadwinner.

Video games are of the past

And a man has to fix

More than a TV dinner.

A man indirectly admires

His hormones until aging

Smells like cocoa butter.

A man knows that women

Are always right, so his windpipe

Cannot bend a pipe cutter.

So heroic, distressed doctors

Will use defibrillators

On a man in his casket.

So romantic, a man

Will take bullets for a woman

And dodge a speeding comet.

So ambitious, a man

Is in the upper class with

Three jobs, a car, and a mansion.

So persuasive, the man

Has romantic expansions,

Voiced like a system of scansion.

Parents say to not hurt

Their daughter, but I say

“What is your definition of hurt?”

Is it hurtful to tell the truth

Or store secrets,

Because a man is an extrovert.

A man is ordered for combat

And gunfights with delayed love

And neighboring gravesites.

A man can be elderly

And unmannerly like road rages

During traffic lights.

A man is someone taking care

Of their wife and children

In order to live proudly.

A man is a protector

Full of confidence,

Intelligence, and integrity.

The Linguistic Laptop

The trajectory of working

Until you have

No time to spare

With your family,

Dissolves if you’re fired

Like a love bomb,

Mimicking the electric currents

Down your spine.

Cohesive companies

Will have you

Paraphrasing your selfhood

Like a spelling bee.

Learning experiences

Are excuses, as if though

Our jittered tongues

Wine and dine.

Most suggestions you give

In a conference

Are belittled, yet they’re used

When you’re fired.

You’ve worked as a

Part-time writer

For a year,

Then your boss says

Your articles are poor.

Your previous writing gig

Mustered artists,

Insulting you,

As if you desired.

Your solitude feels like your

Foundation for existence,

But you’re still

Searching for more.

Reveries of having a sweetheart

Who despises greed,

But adores you, won’t occur.

Women swoon

At the people

With powerful vocabulary

In good positions.

You’ve dreamt of a discount

At a discount retailer,

Then dreamt that they’re

Free like water.

You’ve pondered over

Freedom like

Eco-friendly souls

And sustainable ambitions.

If you have a family,

Hopefully, you can afford

To visit them

Like your jobs.

Maybe your friends can make

You computer savvy,

Like a family

You never had.

Your job wants you to sell

Your soul for a promotion,

Then you’re praised

By thingamabobs.

You may find someone

With their arm stuck in

Vending machine like

They lost a notepad.

Like premarital vows

For a linguistic laptop,

With custody

Over lessons,

Wedge a friendship

In my presence,

With the awkward silence,

That may occur from my death.

Your birth certificate

Means you’re a commodity,

So sue for wealth

And more reasons.

Your minimum wage

Won’t help you fake

Your identity, unless

You’re a shibboleth.

You know someone

In the world experienced

Identity theft

On their honeymoon.

You know that if you

Make income, there’s

Taxes, then comes the

IRS like gang leaders.

School should be

Optional and free,

Teaching us the

Essentials of life

For a tycoon,

Where we reduce

Hate speech by

Relearning compassion,

Obtaining money from leaders.

You’ve wondered about

A recliner chair upholstered

In homemade hemp,

More than your health.

The boss wants to

Have an affair with you,

So that you’ll never

Need welfare assistance.

Your credit score

And mortgage had

Coherent arguments,

But now the world

Sees your wealth.

Will you wear haute couture

To 5-star restaurants

Or waste your money

In a game of chance?

Police officers want

Involuntary pleasure

From you, so you’ll

Get your freedom.

You may lose your

Dignity, knowing that

Plenty officers

Rape those in poverty.

Try behaving normal

Out of prison, then

Your future employees

Think they’re handsome.

Hiring managers search

Social media accounts

Like you’re the

Neighbors’ appointee.

While preoccupied

Writing a novel, may

The rapture occur,

Leaving you speechless?

On your vacations, you

May worry about

Time-management

As a perfectionist.

Hotel accommodations

Are preferred by your friends,

But who questions

Your faithfulness?

Premium subscriptions

Have bots on dating

Websites like your

Teacher’s a plagiarist.

Your mother breastfed

The misfortunate

And your boss expects

You to do the same.

You’ve wondered “How

Many poor people can

Spadework in mansions

To boost their resume?”

You’ve wondered “How

Caused sales calls should be

Sentenced to prison

Like thieves and

Killers to blame.

You’ve wondered how

Rapists should stay in

Prison, but given a

Fair trial per se.

You’ve acknowledged

How responsible

People with disabilities

Are underpaid,

How adequate pay is

Duplicated at the

Bureau of Engraving

And Printing,

And how the 1% has

Potential to assist,

But not with your

Loans that’s conveyed.

You could be in a

4th world country with

More gun smoke than

Financial aid, still squinting.

You’ve smelt like macaroni

And cheese stuffed

Egg rolls and seasoned

Potato stuffed pretzels,

Just as much as a

Diversity of cruel

Bullies gave you

A speech impediment.

Introducing yourself

Feels like public speaking

And your stories can

Win nonmetals.

Expressing yourself

Is called complaining

And overthinking makes

You misrepresent.

Perfectly Sculpted Feelings

Perfectly sculpted feelings

Are poured down the lifeless trenches.

Hush puppies are consumed

Like the gust of self-driving legends.

Pre-made blessings can cleanse

All of the adaptable stenches.

Would you tailgate your parents

And pump their gas on the weekends?

Body languages turn formless,

Sifting through your hand-paintings.

Like I’m caffein-free, writing a

Query letter to Jesus,

Interviews on pay-per-views

Have me soaked in natural springs.

My enriched steps reached

The hollow stars, as if superfluous.

We can share perfectly sculpted feelings.

Perfectly sculpted feelings.

Your cheekbones tease me

Like an unattainable cookie dough.

My lost and found lungs are airtight

If I share my body heat.

Losing my equilibrium,

My heart’s like a Holy Joe.

I’m a hermit, with a smile,

That’ll make you feel incomplete.

I’d go homeless, to spend one day,

Knowing that you love me, too!

I’d go brainless to save you from

The demons that despise me,

Feasting my born eyes on

The glorious God that you pursue.

I’m like laminated leftovers

During a shivaree.

We can share perfectly sculpted feelings.

Perfectly sculpted feelings.

The day I win you a teddy bear

At an amusement park,

Is the day tornados merge

With Ferris wheels, compressing me.

How I want to win you,

Nourishing your soul out of the dark.

My words shift like windswept flames

When I speak, as my poems pass through.

I want to unimagine how often

You can make me smile,

Yet have plenty of money to retire

When we’re newlyweds.

I want to indulge in a sense of humor

That’s not tactile

And merge my words with gold medals

Until there’s sleepyheads.

We can share perfectly sculpted feelings.

Perfectly sculpted feelings.

When I cuddle your conscious

In the back of a pickup truck,

The sun will rise: Resisting. Invitations.

Supporting. Evaluations.

May the villages be moonstruck

And if not, I’m thunderstruck.

Your actions are more considerate

Than organ donations.

Will you call those opposing me

The manipulated truth?

I don’t want to be the blemish

In our journeys together.

I don’t deserve to share your heart,

For I’m squeamish with a sweet tooth.

You can make concrete feel baby-soft,

Like a lost love letter.
