Comes For You

If I could yap, clap,

And trap like that,

I wouldn’t nap, snap,

Or rap like that.

I’m a loner

With inspiration.

The haters stop

My inspiration.

When they judge me

For a tin foil hat,

I’m animal fat

In a straw hat.

I’m slapped

Into second degree burns.

If I get disrespected,

It burns.

Poised on making a living,

They take.

They laugh, but before they laugh,

They take.

Take doesn’t rhyme with take;

That’s take two.

The fun can be

Like I’m twenty-two.

Here’s criticism

And bullying.

I’m vigilant,

But they’re bullying.

Why expect me

To respond to hate?

Diss me and more people

Will learn hate.

I hate your face, your clothes,

And your heart.

I hate the steps you take

With your heart.

How I hate your family

And friends,

You would mock me

If I had no friends.

I’m not going

To hate you again.

If you kill me,

Then I’m born again.

I only have one life,

So get lost

Or get saved,

But most people are lost.

Where are my friends

Going if I fail?

They’ll inhale and exhale

While I fail.

They’ll mate with the naysayers

And cheer.

Get off my leg

And maybe I’ll cheer.

Not all of my friends

May act like such.

If you’re cool,

You may remain as such.

After high school

Can come rock bottom.

Are you born

With a female bottom?

Do you want to speak up

When they laugh?

The cops may beat your partner;

They’ll laugh.

They’ll rap about

That on camera.

They want you

To hate on camera.

“What are you going to do,”

But stare?

If I had a bomb,

I wouldn’t stare.

One day, the laughter

Comes back at you.

If not in this life,

It comes for you.

I Have A Savior

©. October 22, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

What is it about

Her that intrigues all

During the Summer, Spring,

Winter, and Fall?

Ladies, could it be

The hypergamy?

Gentleman, she’ll smirk

At your autopsy,

And make love to you

The way she should’ve,

When you were alive,

But how she could’ve?

They could say, “I’m not jealous.

I’m zealous.”

Feeling rebellious

From a genius,

She can make you

Emotionally cheat,

Celebrating a soul tie

In the street.

You may starve or overeat

While staring.

If you survive,

They’ll think you’re uncaring.

For what is the world

Preparing you for?

May her spells take

You to the candy store?

Next, you’ll buy

Her a bouquet of roses,

But how she should

Be gifted fire hoses,

As if her body burns

The dominions.

The story of her life

Has opinions.

Like a massage therapist

Who’s also

A tattoo artist,

Handprints high and low,

Leave expressions

On his front and behind.

His heart hurts; he wants

To have peace of mind.

His car can crash

During a driver’s test.

When he moves, may

He throw out his hope chest?

I feel for you.

I feel for you.

You don’t know how

I feel for you.

I’ll be on my

Best behavior.

That’s because I

Have a Savior.

Explaining life,

The stranger’s life

May know the truth.

I’ll die for life.

I’ll be on my

Best behavior.

That’s because I

Have a Savior.

All of the courtesans

Take treasure troves.

An abusive companion

From ground cloves,

Loses her man and says,

“All men are bad.”

Blatant lies are what she has;

she’s just mad.

His wear and tear clothing

Are like his bones.

His backbone, alone,

Has to dodge gravestones.

A confluence of confidence

Is lost.

A selfless quietness

In permafrost,

A served touch like ice cream cones

In the heat,

And from job to job, he stands

On his feet,

Giving love bites

On an empty stomach.

Her spiteful ways

Are aiming for his neck.

May another woman

Buy him flowers

When an ounce of her

Could be worth the hours?

Do what he wants,

But not how he wants it.

Life isn’t perfect,

So he takes a sit.

Exhausting:

He wants similarities,

But he runs

Into his adversaries.

Rebuking the wickedness

He once liked,

Thousands of thieves

Accompanied are psyched.

Strangers love him

At 50 miles per hour.

They’ll flirt with women

And try to devour

How he refuses

To open his heart

For a woman to live

With and restart.

I feel for you.

I feel for you.

You don’t know how

I feel for you.

I’ll be on my

Best behavior.

That’s because I

Have a Savior.

Explaining life,

The stranger’s life

May know the truth.

I’ll die for life.

I’ll be on my

Best behavior.

That’s because I

Have a Savior.

The Metal Part of That

©. Oct. 13, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

When the rails break

From the top bunk bed,

He awakes from

The bottom section,

Nearly whacked lifelessly

In the head.

When his glasses

Show a reflection,

He sees a little boy,

Who’s afraid.

When his toy collection

Is stolen,

He feels the metal part

Of a belt,

Penetrating his scalp

Till swollen.

Blood, opposed,

Covers another welt.

His mom kiss him

In a cross breeze.

When he learns

To say the ABC’s,

He overhears

Mild profanity.

Slapped by humanity

On his knees,

Faithfully to make

His mind agree.

His childhood

Is a long-lasting loss.

When the bullies strike him

To the ground,

The teachers laugh

And continue class.

While rejected,

He can be homebound,

In the background,

Like there’s laughing gas.

Laughter erupts

Over spelling bees.

Stay in there.

Take a chance.

They won’t understand,

But you, take a stand.

Fight evil.

Fight right.

When he endures

Reactive abuse,

Another person wants

To cause harm.

They love to lie

And will break a truce;

The handshake he has

Can break his arm.

He has legs,

But never saw the world.

Ladies soft

Like a body pillow

Are groped by many men;

Ladies yell

Like show-and-tell

On their patio.

They’ll kiss CEOs

In a hotel,

Then demand

A kindhearted person.

If he grabs a gun,

Then it’s too soon.

They would applaud

The military.

His girlfriend

Wouldn’t last a full moon.

She’d cheat on him

In a library,

If he had girlfriend

To treat right.

What if his son or daughter

Was killed?

Daily, people flirt

With his mother.

He lacks a lady;

He isn’t healed.

The anger he hears,

He sees color.

He’s mistreated

By humanity.

Stay in there.

Take a chance.

They won’t understand,

But you, take a stand.

Fight evil.

Fight right.

Would You Love Me If…

Would you love me

If I was paralyzed?

In hard times, would you be my

Pair of eyes?

I wonder if you wonder

What I think.

Would you love me

If your parents hate me?

If my house burnt down,

Then where would we be?

I wonder if you wonder

What I think.

And what if all I have

Is loyalty?

All I need is God,

So I don’t need you.

Would you love me pass

My disfigured face?

When would you let my arms

Be your crawl space?

I wonder if you wonder

What I think.

Would you love me

Beyond first impressions?

What if I were to

Give you suggestions?

I wonder if you wonder

What I think.

And what if all I have

Is loyalty?

All I need is God,

So I don’t need you.

If I Had Children

©. Oct. 7, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

If my children

Experience life,

If I’m around to

Hear their stories,

That’s when I put up

My palette knife.

I’ll give advice

Better than movies.

“You’re beautiful in

The skin you have,

And beautiful in

The hearts you touch.”

The clothes you have

May make people laugh.

But the good you’ll

Do on Earth is much.”

I’ll tell you to

“Always thank the Lord.”

If you ask mom,

She will say the same.

I’m around if

You ever get bored.

The whole world

Will remember your name.

If you see me

And your mom kissing,

You’ll grow older,

Then you’ll understand.

How we’ll hug you

Like you’ve been missing,

Even when tomorrow

Is unplanned.

Oh, let me teach

You about gender,

Before the whole world

Tries to teach you.

Let me be

Your public defender.

The dad you have

Is a dream come true.

If I had children.

If I had children.

I’ll spoil you until

Your cheeks turn blue,

But first, you’ll

Learn how to be a man.

The struggles you

Have is a review.

You’ve been through

These thoughts; that’s a plan.

When I’m deceased,

You have the Father.

You’ll come home

And tell me anything.

Maybe you’ll have

A sense of humor.

The love you bring

Will have a ring.

You’ll learn how

To suture before sew.

Your whole life

Will be ineffable,

Expressed in the actions

That I know.

Little things you do

Are lovable.

Your dreams are conquered

When you want them.

You’ll speak and I’ll

Love you on purpose.

In the mirror,

You’ll know you’re a gem.

The life you have

Will be marvelous.

You’re beautiful,

But you don’t exist.

I’m single, but I

Have the Father

And the love He has,

I can’t resist.

I’d tell you

I’m stifled by sugar.

If I had children.

If I had children.

Today, I’m Beautiful

©. Oct. 3, 2022. All Rights Reserved.

Today, I’m beautiful

Inside and out.

The demons will checkmark

Every hideout,

Preying on the down-and-out,

Then the rich.

The oligarchs laugh

At a blanket stitch.

Like woodpeckers pecking

On wooden canes,

That’s life and nothing stops fun,

Then there’s canes.

I don’t want to grow wrinkles

On my face.

My mother can have some;

That, I’ll embrace.

I’m older than you.

You’re colder than me.

I’m older than you.

You’re colder than me.

The bones I grow,

I won’t take for granted.

When it rains,

I won’t take it for granted.

Gravestones taunting gemstones

On wedding rings,

I’ll be unknown,

Untying my shoestrings.

Feeling grown in my youth,

There’s much unknown.

There’s much to learn;

I’ll forget the unknown.

Tomorrow can be gone,

Lost forever.

If I grow old,

I’ll await the treasure.

I’m older than you.

You’re colder than me.

I’m older than you.

You’re colder than me.

A cane I wouldn’t need

When I get old.

I have maturity;

I know that’s old.

What teen may know Jesus Christ

More than me?

It’s just an age, but far more,

I’ll study.

“You better know who God is,”

I would hear.

When I find out, God,

No one wants to hear.

Saving souls

Cost losing relationships,

But is priceless,

Unlike potato chips.

I’m older than you.

You’re colder than me.

I’m older than you.

You’re colder than me.
