Enough for Enough

No matter what I do,

No matter what I say,

I’m not enough to you.

I’m not enough today.

No matter how I feel,

No matter how I live,

I’m not enough to heal.

I’m not enough to give.

They called her many names.

Keep going.

Keep going, girl.

She blended in with piranhas,

Trying to drown herself alive,

And she felt alone just because.

She never said, but she’d survive.

Kind enough to handshake lightning

Where trees would likely faint by her,

Is when the oceans were singing.

Some knew she felt like a monster.

She tasted ashes from the wind.

And saw her reflection shake

From the waters, which would descend.

She could’ve befriended heartbreak.

In the water is where she prayed,

But if she was to die back then,

I hope her sins weren’t outweighed.

She repented and went again.

No matter what I do,

No matter what I say,

I’m good enough to you.

I’m good enough today.

No matter how I feel,

No matter how I live,

I’m good enough to heal.

I’m good enough to give.
